Near Dark

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” 2 Thessalonians 2:3

In the dim days prior to Christ’s return, compromise will run rampant in the apathy of marginal confessors, while hailed as unity by heretics and false professors.

  1. A few months ago I ran headlong into a pack of those “unity” boys. The truth of the Gospel and the Word of God were meaningless to those men. False doctrine was not just tolerated, but encouraged-and this in a deep south SBC church. At the end of our meeting(read inquisition) after I was physically threatened and verbally abused I was given the opportunity for one final statement/question. I asked the teacher of the false doctrine(s) “Did Jesus Christ come in the flesh?” as per I John 4:1-3. He gave no answer. Again, same question; no answer. Again the third time, no answer. Nor was there any positive response from any one else in the room. And these were the leaders of this church.
May I encourage all of you to stand firm for the truth of His Word. His grace is always suffcient

Good description by Darrel. Yes, they are running in packs, aren’t they? Sure not the time to dilly dally….the dilly includes that it is not the time to become “Reformed” Charismatic, (just a tip, there) the dally includes run from anyone who claims that they are building some kind of utopia, global community, etc. Amen, Compromise, Apathy = your sunk, and you have just become a part of the one world global church. Congratulations.
