A Message from Miles

A message from Miles McKee, missionary to Ireland and author of “The Wednesday Word”

Dear Friends,

There was no Wednesday Word last week, nor will there be for an indeterminate time, since my son Conal was killed in a tragic road accident last week in Texas. On Friday last we buried him; he was 27. Through God’s supplied grace, I was enabled to preach Christ Crucified at my darling boy’s funeral. The Lord was in our midst

I dearly loved that boy (as did all who knew him). As a Father I am crushed and gutted. However, this we know, God is good and somehow, even though we don’t see it, we are dealing with unseen mercy in this awful situation.

When enabled to, I will write and send you another Wednesday Word.

Please pray that many people will be saved as a result of these terrible events.

Please also continue to pray for the work in Ireland that we will see a mighty harvest there. Time is short.

“My times are in Thy hand;
Whatever they may be;
Pleasing or painful, dark or bright,
As best may seem to Thee.

My times are in Thy hand;
Why should I doubt or fear?
My Father’s hand will never cause
His child a needless tear.

My times are in Thy hand,
Jesus, the crucified!
Those hands my cruel sins had pierced
Are now my guard and guide.

My times are in Thy hand,
I’ll always trust in Thee;
And, after death, at Thy right hand
I shall forever be.”

Gospel Blessings
